What is Nuzyra?

Nuzyra is a tetracyclineantibiotic that is used to treat pneumonia or skin infections caused by bacteria.

Nuzyra may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Warnings

Follow all directions on your medicine label and package. Tell each of your healthcare providers about all your medical conditions, allergies, and all medicines you use.

Before taking this medicine

You should not use Nuzyra if you are allergic to Nuzyra or similar antibiotics such as demeclocycline, doxycycline, minocycline, sarecycline, tetracycline, or tigecycline.

Using Nuzyra during pregnancy may affect tooth and bone development in the unborn baby. Using this medicine during the last half of pregnancy can cause permanent tooth discoloration later in the baby's life. Use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy, and tell your doctor if you become pregnant.
