What is Vicks 44 Cold & Cough LiquiCaps?

Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant.
Vicks 44 Cold & Cough LiquiCaps is a combination medicine used to treat cough, stuffy nose and sinus congestion caused by allergies or the common cold.
Vicks 44 Cold & Cough LiquiCaps may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Warnings
Do not use Vicks 44 Cold & Cough LiquiCaps if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days, such as isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, or tranylcypromine.
Before taking this medicine
You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to dextromethorphan or pseudoephedrine.
Do not use this medicine if you have taken an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days. A dangerous drug interaction could occur. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this medicine is safe to use if you have:
a cough with mucus;
heart problems, high blood pressure;
an enlarged prostate and urination problems;
diabetes; or
a thyroid disorder.
Ask a doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
