What is G-Myticin?
Gentamicin is an antibiotic that fights bacteria.
G-Myticin (for use on the skin) is used to treat skin infections caused by bacteria.
G-Myticin may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Before taking this medicine
You should not use G-Myticin if you are allergic to gentamicin.
Gentamicin is not approved for use by anyone younger than 1 year old.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
How should I use G-Myticin?
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Before you apply G-Myticin, wash and thoroughly dry the infected skin.
Gently wash away any crusts from the infected skin. This will help the medicine better penetrate the infection more easily
Apply a small amount of gentamicin topical to the affected area.
Cover the skin with a gauze dressing if desired.
Keep your hands and skin clean to avoid further infection.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Apply the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not apply two doses at one time.
What happens if I overdose?
An overdose of G-Myticin is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222 if anyone has accidentally swallowed the medication.
